Locorotondo and Martina Franca
An itinerary through the most charming villages of the Itria Valley, among rolling landscapes, vineyards and centuries-old trulli.
We’ll begin the visit in Locorotondo, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, famous for its circular layout and its characteristic “cummerse,” dwellings with steeply pitched roofs. From its natural balcony, we’ll admire a unique panorama over the stretches of olive groves and vineyards that define this land.
Next, we’ll move on to Martina Franca, a town known for its Baroque architecture and its charming historic center. We’ll stroll through the alleyways to the majestic Basilica of San Martino, one of the finest examples of Apulian Baroque.
Finally, we’ll visit an ancient underground olive mill to discover the techniques for producing extra-virgin olive oil. Here, an expert will guide us through a tasting of selected EVO oils, served with Apulian bread.
