Caves & Trulli

Castellana Caves & Alberobello

Embark on a captivating journey from subterranean wonders to the iconic white-stone dwellings of Puglia.
We’ll begin with a guided exploration of the Castellana Caves, one of Italy’s most spectacular karst cave systems.
Over a roughly one-kilometer route, you’ll marvel at stalactites, stalagmites and other extraordinary rock formations, culminating in the breathtaking “White Grotto.”

Next, we’ll travel to Alberobello, the heart of the “Murgia dei Trulli” and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
ou’ll discover the Rione Monti district—with its more than 1,500 trulli—and the more intimate, authentic lanes of Aia Piccola.
Finally, we’ll visit the unique Trullo-shaped Church of Sant’Antonio, the only religious building in the world built in this form.

To conclude, we’ll step inside a historic 18th-century trullo for a tasting of artisanal jams made from local fruit and traditional rosoli, the convent-style Puglian liqueurs.
