Baroque Highlights

Lecce & Ostuni

Embark on a journey through Apulian Baroque, exploring Lecce — known as the “Florence of the South” — and Ostuni, the famed “White City.”

We’ll begin with a guided visit to Lecce, a city celebrated for its graceful churches and historic palaces. You’ll admire the ornate façade of the Basilica di Santa Croce, the theatrical setting of Piazza Duomo and the evocative Roman amphitheater in Piazza Sant’Oronzo.

During our stroll, we’ll pause for a sweet break to sample the typical pasticciotto leccese, a delicate shortcrust pastry filled with creamy custard.

Next, we’ll head to Ostuni, perched atop three hills and defined by its whitewashed homes. In the historic centre, you’ll explore the impressive Romanesque – Gothic Cathedral and Piazza Beato Giovanni Paolo II, bordered by the 18th-century Bishop’s Palace and Seminary.

To round out the tour, we’ll visit a traditional Apulian olive mill where an expert will guide us through the EVO oil extraction and bottling process—followed by a tasting served with rustic Apulian bread.
