Lecce & Ostuni
Embark on a journey through Apulian Baroque, exploring Lecce â known as the âFlorence of the Southâ â and Ostuni, the famed âWhite City.â
Weâll begin with a guided visit to Lecce, a city celebrated for its graceful churches and historic palaces. Youâll admire the ornate façade of the Basilica di Santa Croce, the theatrical setting of Piazza Duomo and the evocative Roman amphitheater in Piazza SantâOronzo.
During our stroll, weâll pause for a sweet break to sample the typical pasticciotto leccese, a delicate shortcrust pastry filled with creamy custard.
Next, weâll head to Ostuni, perched atop three hills and defined by its whitewashed homes. In the historic centre, youâll explore the impressive Romanesque â Gothic Cathedral and Piazza Beato Giovanni Paolo II, bordered by the 18th-century Bishopâs Palace and Seminary.
To round out the tour, weâll visit a traditional Apulian olive mill where an expert will guide us through the EVO oil extraction and bottling processâfollowed by a tasting served with rustic Apulian bread.
