Extra-Virgin Olive Oil & Culinary Traditions
An unique experience to discover the secrets of Apulian extra-virgin olive oil, through history, culture and tastings. We will visit an ancient olive mill in Martina Franca, operating since 1889, where we will explore the oil extraction process from its origins to modern production techniques.
The visit will begin with a tour of the vintage equipment, to understand the mill’s evolution over the years. We will then make a special stop inside an underground cave, where EVO oil is stored to preserve its quality and organoleptic characteristics.
After the tour, an expert will lead us in a lesson on extra-virgin olive oil, explaining its properties, production methods and gastronomic pairings.
The experience will culminate with a tasting of selected EVO oils, accompanied by Apulian bread and an assortment of local products such as artisanal cured meats and cheeses, for an authentic immersion in the flavors of Puglia.
