Visit to the Castellana Caves, a journey to the center of the earth among multi-colored stone embroideries, deep in magnificent caves. The White Cave, unique in the world, awaits the visitor at the end of the walk. The Castellana Caves are a complex of underground cavities of karst origin, among the most beautiful in Italy. They are about 3300 meters long and reach a maximum depth of 122 meters, with a constant temperature throughout the year of about 16°. The route is three kilometers long; an unmissable guided excursion in an incredible scenery, where underground canyons, caverns with fantastic names, fossils, stalactites and stalagmites stimulate the imagination of young and old visitors
Later on, Alberobello, in the heart of the “Murgia dei Trulli”, World Heritage Site with its 1500 trulloes. Visit to the Rione Monti, the oldest part the town, together with the Aia Piccola district. Visit to the amazing Church of Sant’Antonio, the only trullo-shaped church in the world.
The experience ends with a visit to a Trullo, with its historic floor dating back to 1700, where we will taste typical products: jams and marmalade made with locally grown fresh fruit. Natural, genuine and healthy. We will taste cherry, prickly pear and fioroni (typical apulian fig) jams on a slice of bread, and 3 Rosoli, the liqueurs of the past created in the Convents of the territory. The Rosoli have low alcohol content, and are made with the flowers and fruits of our countryside, produced with traditional methods taken from ancient recipes
